Jumeirah Mosque is one of the largest in the whole of Dubai. Moreover, as one of the truly rare, it can be visited by tourists. The second mosque open to non-Muslims is located in Abu Dhabi. The temple was built in the years 1975-1978 at the behest of Sheikh Rashid II ibn Said al Maktoum, then ruler of Dubai. Al Bastakiya district is one of the oldest districts all over Dubai. At the edge of the area after street of Al-Musalla, there is a cemetery, which formerly was the border of the city.
